About me

But the love that you follow with zeal is one of the paths that lead to knowledge

N. Shepard

Who I am

I will begin with my infinite love for nature, with the wind, the plants, the sea, the wild rocks, the trunks clothed in green moss. I feel my pulse in almost every bit of nature. I see myself as part of a larger space of flows, relationships, energies. I am deeply committed to being in the present, exploring the deeper layers of life. I fall in love with wild, remote places, but most of all, I love spending my time in ecological and creative communities, with like-minded people working towards a loving, ethically oriented coexistence.

After my primary education, I have a PhD in Humanities: Feminist Literary Studies. I published my doctoral dissertation entitled Eurydice and Orpheus: From Mirror to Manifold Love as an independent monograph. During my time as a postdoctoral researcher, I participated in the publication of scientific publications and published several scientific articles. I taught at various faculties for several years.

In my essence, however, I have been committed to the poetic word since my early youth, the poetry that has shaped me (and still shapes me) like a riverbed.

Since 2012, I have been self-employed in culture as a writer. I have published five collections of poetry, for which I have received several awards and recognitions. My poems have been translated into many foreign languages and published in domestic and foreign publications. I work with the Public Fund for Cultural Activities as a selector in literary competitions and as a mentor. I lead experiential creative writing workshops.

In 2013, a poet and therapist friend “introduced” me to Gestalt psychotherapy – for which I am extremely grateful. My new love was born, which is solidifying and growing.

For several years I have been a specialist in psychotherapy at the Institute for Gestalt Therapy GiTa in Ljubljana. It is an accredited institute of EAGT – the European Association for Gestalt Therapy and the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP) and a member of the umbrella association for psychotherapy of the Croatian Association of Psychotherapists.

I do my therapeutic work under regular supervision. As a member of the Slovenian Society for Gestalt Therapy SLOGES, I am committed to the SLOGES Code of Ethics in my work.

I have ten years of regular personal therapy and two and a half years of group therapy behind me. In addition to my education at the GiTa Institute, I also regularly attend numerous psychotherapeutic workshops, conferences and seminars in Slovenia and abroad.

In 2013, I obtained my certification to teach yoga. Since then, I have been leading (therapeutic) yoga courses and mindfulness workshops. I devote myself to researching Buddhist practice, meditating almost every day and leading group meditations. I attend various retreats in our country and abroad. Spiritual Scratch supports me in my therapeutic work, fuels my indomitable creativity, and brings magic, peace and joy to my personal life.

I am experienced in the field of working with groups – in the last fifteen years I have conducted numerous experiential workshops, as well as lectures throughout Slovenia.

Within the framework of the Satori Institute, we are dedicated to the development of creative programs for children and adolescents, which I implement in schools. I work within the framework of the Initiative for Mental Health (IDZ) in Medvode.
