For more than ten years, I have been working intensively in the field of EXPERIENTIAL work with groups.
I find it important for people to come together within groups, communities that are not just tied to the family environment. In the time we live in (chasing to earn money, etc.), we remain quite wrapped up in our own individuality, and in this way more vulnerable, scared and exposed. I believe that people need their own “tribe”, people who support us, offer us challenges and enable creative growth and personal development. A “tribe” in which we maintain our own specificity, but at the same time strengthen the awareness that we are part of a larger (many) whole.
Humans are like waves in the ocean with a beginning and an end. If the wave did not know that it was made of water, it would be afraid of its end, of merging with the ocean. When we forget that I am made of the substance that binds us to others, we become afraid – not only of endings, but also of new beginnings. But when the wave touches its true nature – which is water – it transcends birth and death. (Thich Nhat Hanh)
